NCLA Events for 2010

January 7: Legislative Preview –Embassy Suites, 4705 Clydesdale Parkway in Loveland, 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. Learn how you can help affect the change vital to business’ success in Colorado by attending the Northern Colorado Legislative Alliance’s 2010 Legislative Preview. As in years past, you will learn about the NCLA’s priority agenda for 2010. New this year will be panel discussions with lawmakers and other experts on the topics of fiscal policy and budget, K-12 and higher education, energy, labor/workforce and health care. Attendees will also have the opportunity to dialogue with their lawmakers and the NCLA Board about specific concerns and find out how they can get involved in the legislative process throughout 2010. The doors open at 7:15. The cost to attend is $20 per chamber/NCEDC member and $25 per non-member and includes continental breakfast. The Embassy Suites is sponsoring the event as well.
- January 25: Monday Morning Meeting & Video Conference with Northern Colorado Legislators – McKee Medical Center, 2000 N. Boise Avenue in Loveland, 7:30 to 9 a.m. Legislators and the NCLA will update attendees on legislative action taking place on a few of the NCLA’s priority issues as well as other hot topics of the session. Lawmakers unable to attend the meeting in person will be able to join in this meeting via video conference. The meeting is a great opportunity to meet and discuss issues with your representatives and senators one-on-one. Cost to attend is $15 per chamber/NCEDC member and $20 per non-member. The doors open at 7:15. McKee is sponsoring the event as well.
- February 8: Monday Morning Meeting with Northern Colorado Legislators – Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce, 221 South Meldrum Street in Fort Collins, 7:30 to 9 a.m. See Jan. 25 for event description.
- March 2: NCLA Mission to the Capitol – Colorado State Capitol, Morning-Early Afternoon. Attendees will take a chartered bus ride to Denver where they will engage Colorado’s political leadership in discussions about critical issues facing our region. Participants will meet with legislators and policy makers in on issues important to business success and watch the legislative process in action. The event will wrap-up with a luncheon with Northern Colorado legislators. The cost to attend will likely be $75 per chamber or NCEDC member and includes breakfast, lunch and travel. - April 12: Monday Morning Meeting with Northern Colorado Legislators – Greeley, State Farm Insurance, 7:30 to 9 a.m. See Jan. 25 for event description.
- May 17: Legislative Session Wrap-Up & Video Conference with Northern Colorado Legislators– McKee Medical Center, 2000 N. Boise Avenue in Loveland, 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. At this session wrap-up breakfast, you will learn from lawmakers and the NCLA how legislation that was and was not passed will affect the Northern Colorado business community, what issues will be referred to voters in November and what legislation is already in the works for next session. Cost to attend is $20 per chamber/NCEDC member and $25 per non-member. The doors open at 7:15.
